The bar was busy at 8.30 pm on Sunday but our host made us very welcome and seated us quickly with menús. The atmosphere was good, lots of friendly locals. We had a very good bottle of white Rioja and we both shared our starters of vegetable lasagne and berenjena (aubergine), which were delicious. Mains were beef cheeks and bacalao, both excellent, the fish cooked perfectly. The crowning glory was the postre, oh my word! The flan was outstanding, they serve two and we had one each, just delightful. Then we tried the cheesecake. Incredible. I have never tasted a cheesecake this good, anywhere, ever. It was like eating heaven. Fantastic food, excellent service, you must go.

This place was recommended to me by a local. Amazing atmosphere, fantastic value for money food but we had to wait longer than necessary for our dishes to be served and this is due to the fact that there was only one doing the serving, tidying up and washing at the time otherwise I would have given a 5*. Must visit when in Durango

Try Kalimotxo instead of sangria. Very local and great tasting. Especially if only one wants to drink it (sangria comes in a large jar). Portions are large. Croquettes are nice. kids loved food - happy parents :)
